Major Goals :

- To reduce trauma and to promote healing for alleged child victims and their non-offending family members.

-To expedite the investigation and assessment of alleged child victimization so that the entire well being of the child can be addressed through treatment and other related services.

Program Goals:

•  To establish a neutral, child-friendly facility that serves as a place where forensic interviews, forensic evaluations, referrals for specialized medical exams/assessments, counseling, and other services are provided to children who are alleged to have been victimized and also, to their non-offending family members.

•  To develop a formal, comprehensive, culturally competent multidisciplinary team (MDT) response to child victimization and to provide oversight to the MDT.

•  To establish greater offender accountability through the improved and strengthened prosecution of child victimization cases including developing legally sound and factual information that may be useful in criminal and civil proceedings.

•  To create safeguards for all, as they relate to false allegations, by providing services that are child-appropriate and legally sound.

•  To reduce the trauma a child may experience due to multiple, repetitive contacts with different community professionals.

•  To facilitate and to maintain communication including case coordination among those involved with child victimization cases.

•  To foster opportunities for the development of professional skills essential to effectively respond to child victimization allegations.

•  To coordinate and track the investigative, prosecutorial, and treatment components of each child victimization case.

•  To increase public awareness and understanding of child victimization.
